Listed below are basic criteria that will be utilized to rate a student’s application:
Approximately a 2.0+ Grade Point Average High-Quality citizenship Consistent attendance	Math comprehension Standardized test scores
*Teacher recommendations and essays are NOT required or accepted.  If submitted they will not be utilized.

Late Application Process:
Download and print paper application Download Paper Application Complete paper application Make three program choices Indicate your first, second and third choice by writing a number 1, 2 and 3 next to them.	Signed magnet application Bring 1st semester report card or transcript (if out of district) Copy of most recent standardized test scores (if out of district) Send paper application by mail or fax to SECTA FAX # 702-799-0722 Late applications will be processed during the month of June.

Online Applications:
Online at: magnetapp.ccsd.net	The best way to apply is to apply online. For Instructions and information on applying, download the Public Online Application Power Point. Electronic signatures will be utilized. The above list criteria will be obtained from the CCSD data system.

In District	Out of District
In district students do not have to submit anything except an online application.	Out of district students must submit the following: 1st semester report card or transcript (showing grades, citizenship and attendance) Copy of most recent standardized test scores

Acceptance Process	Contact Us
Students will be notified of their status by mid April by the Magnet Office.  After acceptances have been received by the Magnet Office, they will notify SECTA of those students who indicated SECTA as the school of choice.  SECTA will mail out registration materials that must be returned to complete the process.
