Southeast Career Technical Academy (SECTA) offers students career technical skills that foster success in their future career goals. Students complete a two-year career technical training program that leads to certifications, licensures, and college credit. These are benefits that will enable them to attain entry-level positions in the work force or to continue higher education. Over 80% of our seniors go on to college or university.
The majority of our career technical programs allow students to earn college credit through the Tech Prep Program with the College of Southern Nevada. SECTA students consistently earn the most CSN Tech Prep College Credits in the state of Nevada equaling over $150,000 collectively in college tuition saved. Also, several programs offer internships, job shadowing, clinicals, and on-the-job training.
Students who graduate from Southeast Career Technical Academy receive one of three Clark County School District diplomas: standard, advanced, or advanced honors. Typically, around 20% earn advanced honors diplomas.
