GRAPHIC COMMUNICATIONS I & II     Graphic Communications pathway
Grades:             11, 12
Prerequisite:      Artistic ability, good English skills, strong basic math skills, Art I, Drawing I
Credits:             2 credits Junior year; 3 credits Senior year
The Graphic Communications course provides students with experience in the fields of graphic design, commercial art, offset printing and screen-printing. Junior students are introduced to all phases of the field from original layout and design to print production in a two-credit class. Students learn the basics of graphic arts design, photography, film assembly and plate making as they produce individual projects. This course may allow students to earn college credit from the Community College of Southern Nevada and the Art Institute of Las Vegas.  See information listed under Tech Prep Credit, page 61.  See page 63 for Instructional Fee List.
