GRAPHIC DESIGN I

Prerequisite:      Art I, Drawing I           
Credits:             2 credits Junior year
This two period career/technical class will take your creativity to a new level by learning advanced techniques in page layout, computer illustration, and photo manipulation. Turn your ideas into reality through the use of various computer programs to combine text and images into exciting posters, video box covers, flyers, brochures, etc.  This course may allow students to earn college credit from the Community College of Southern Nevada and the Art Institute of Las Vegas.
GRAPHIC DESIGN II    
Grades:             12
Prerequisite:      Graphic Design I, Art I, Drawing I        
Credits:             3 credits Senior year
Students will flex their creative muscles by producing detailed illustrations and special projects involving computer illustration, cartooning, pre-press, page layout and photo manipulation techniques. Seniors will be responsible for creating a portfolio of their work and producing a full color magazine layout.   This course may allow students to earn college credit from the Community College of Southern Nevada and the Art Institute of Las Vegas.
