Prerequisite:      Completion of 10th grade, Introduction to Business and Information Technology or teacher approval,                         Algebra I
Credits:             1 in Website Science and 1 in Computer Science

This one-year, two-period blocked course is designed to teach the student advanced HTML, Dreamweaver, and site design layout theory.  Students are required to demonstrate mastery of the material by designing, executing, updating, and modifying websites.  Programming concepts are also refined through Visual Basic and JavaScript.  This course may allow students to earn college credit from the Community College of Southern Nevada. This course will fulfill two of the elective credits required for high school graduation.

ADVANCED WEBSITE SCIENCE

This one-year, three-period course is designed to provide seniors with skills in interactive websites and design. Students will become acquainted with various approaches to automation and interactivity including Macromedia Dreamweaver, Fireworks, Flash, and databases.  Some students will be selected to maintain, restructure, and/or redesign the school website.  Students are expected to work independently and with other team members on small to large-scale projects.  This course will fulfill three of the elective credits required for high school graduation.
