Tuition exemption at UNLV, UNR, CSN, TMCC.
Join the Nevada National Guard and work one weekend a month, plus a two week drill in the summer. You get: - $6,000 to $10,000 enlistment bonus - Exempt from paying tuition at UNLV, UNR, CCSN & TMCC - $488.00 a month in tuition assistance in addition to state tuition exemption - Military pay for drill weekends and summer training. In the event of a national emergency, Congress and the President may decide to return to a draft. Registering with the Selective Service System provides our country with an accurate list of names and addresses of men who might be called upon if a return to the draft is required. Registering with the Selective Service does not mean you are joining the military. However, failure to register with the Selective Service System is punishable by a fine up to $250.000, imprisonment of up to five years, or both. Additionally, federal and state laws require registration as a prerequisite for obtaining student financial aid, job training, government employment and U.S. naturalization. |
